The 2025 UFC schedule continues to fill out as UFC 312 adds another hometown matchup to the card.

On Sunday, MMA Fighting confirmed that Australian prospect Tom Nolan gets a home-country matchup when he faces Viacheslav Borshchev in a lightweight contest at UFC 312 on Feb. 9 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. Marcel Dorff was the first to report the matchup.

Coming off the 2023 season of Contender Series, Nolan lost to Nikolas Motta in his promotional debut, but “Big Train” rebounded this year with wins over Victor Martinez and Alex Reyes in 2024.

A 2021 Contender Series signee, Borshchev has had an up-and-down career in the UFC, with an overall promotional record of 3-3-1. In 2024, “Slava Claus” went 1-1, losing to Chase Hooper in May, but he rebounded with a split decision win over James Llontop in August.

UFC 312 is headlined by a middleweight title rematch between Dricus du Plessis and Sean Strickland, and also features a strawweight title fight between Zhang Weili and Tatiana Suarez.

Mike Heck contributed to this report.
