Conor McGregor is teasing a return to fighting, but not for the UFC — at least, not at the moment.

The former two-division UFC champion took to social media on Monday night and said that he had agreed to face WWE star Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match in India in 2025, and then he would prepare for a return to the UFC’s octagon. The question with McGregor — especially with what’s going on outside of the fighting world — is do we believe him?

MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee discuss McGregor’s latest comments about a potential fight with Paul, the Ambani family — who McGregor said is putting the potential matchup together — the chances of it happening, WWE and UFC both being part of the TKO umbrella, whether or not this is part of Dana White’s tease of something wild for 2025, and more.
