Award-winning premium slots and table games developer Habanero announced it has just secured its Danish gaming license, marking its third international regulatory approval already this year.

Following swiftly on the heels of its success in entering both the Greek and Brazilian markets this year, Habanero’s latest milestone in Denmark has again reinforced the firm’s ambitious global expansion strategy for 2025.

As a result, soon, Denmark’s iGaming player base will have access to Habanero’s latest game release Hyper Hues, as well as the firm’s well-established fan favorites Totem Towers and Jump.

Joining forces with NetBet, Habanero’s latest regulatory approval now opens the door for Habanero to join Denmark’s iGaming marketplace which has undoubtedly witnessed significant growth over the past decade.

Considering Denmark’s online gambling revenue is projected to surpass $1.35 billion by 2029, its move into Denmark was an irresistible proposal for the top-tier gaming providers.

In fact, unlike in Germany, the Scandinavian country’s online gambling sector grew by an impressive 6.9% in 2024 alone, and the excitement from Habanero bosses was clear.

This is a point illustrated by Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, who expressed excitement about the company’s latest achievement.

“We are thrilled to gain our third license of the year, this time in Denmark. A market that has continued to progress in Europe, we are confident that our diverse portfolio of games will continue to resonate well with the ever-changing player demographic across the country.”

The landmark triumphs in Greece and now Denmark mean Habanero has ensured its brand of online slots and table games have made it a competitive force in Europe’s evolving iGaming landscape.

However, while Habanero’s victories in Europe are no mean feat, it’s likely the firm will be striving to secure a foothold in Brazil’s burgeoning iGaming marketplace.

Habanero’s willingness to operate in South America’s most populous country also mirrors other gaming firms such as BGaming & 7777 Gaming, which also received regulatory approval this year.

Habanero’s aggressive approach to global growth is certainly beginning to pay dividends, and having now been certified to operate in 24 regulated markets worldwide, they have established themselves as a major player in the iGaming sector.
