Sara Slane Joins Kalshi
Sara Slane, former SVP of Public Affairs at the American Gaming Association and a driving force behind the repeal of PASPA, now joins Kalshi as Head of Corporate Development.

Sara Slane, a prominent figure in the gambling industry and former Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Gaming Association (AGA), has joined Kalshi as its Head of Corporate Development.

Slane’s appointment comes during a turbulent period for the prediction market platform as it faces mounting regulatory scrutiny across several states.

Slane’s appointment comes as Kalshi continues to expand its offerings while navigating regulatory hurdles. The company recently introduced sports-related contracts for events like March Madness and which garnered a reported trade volume of $412m (~£318m).

Slane’s expertise will likely play a critical role in shaping Kalshi’s future as it seeks to solidify its position within the highly regulated landscape of prediction markets. Her ability to foster collaboration between stakeholders will be key to addressing the challenges ahead.

Kalshi Scores Big in Nevada Showdown

In a stunning legal victory, Kalshi has successfully pushed back against Nevada regulators, at least for now.

A federal judge just granted Kalshi a crucial temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, allowing it to keep offering its much-discussed sports-related contracts within the Silver State as the high-stakes litigation unfolds.

What about Nevada’s attempt to slam the brakes on Kalshi’s operations immediately? Denied!

Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour celebrated the win, emphasising the platform’s status as a federally regulated exchange under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. With this federal court backing, Kalshi boldly continues its operations, challenging state authorities and signalling it won’t back down easily.
