UFC Vegas 107 will still include the octagon debut of Andreas Gustafsson.

The promotion revealed that longtime UFC veteran Trevin Giles steps in on short notice to face the Contender Series contract winner at Saturday’s Fight Night event at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The bout will take place at a catchweight of 180 pounds.

Gustafsson was initially slated to face Jeremiah Wells on the card, but Wells was removed from the contest for undisclosed reasons.

Now Giles steps in looking to put a halt to a three-fight losing streak. “The Problem” recently lost a unanimous decision to Mike Malott at UFC Edmonton in November. Prior to that, Giles was stopped in back-to-back bouts by Carlos Prates and Gabriel Bonfim.

Gustafsson has a three-fight win streak under his belt as he competes for the first time under the UFC banner. “Bane” earned a contract with a second-round knockout win on week 2 of DWCS this past August.

UFC Vegas 107 is headlined by a pivotal women’s flyweight bout between Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber.
