The former UFC featherweight champion looks to become the latest two-division UFC champion when he faces Charles Oliveira for the vacant UFC lightweight title in the main event of the next UFC pay-per-view at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
Former UFC champion Islam Makhachev has left the division to pursue UFC welterweight gold.
Topuria, who is coming off a knockout win over Max Holloway in his only UFC featherweight title defense, has never lost in his pro career, reeling off 16 straight wins. Oliveira has won three of his past five title fights.
Alexandre Pantoja aims for his fourth straight defense of his UFC flyweight title when he squares off against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event. Pantoja has reeled off seven straight wins, while Kara-France has won three of his past five fights.
