Biaggio Ali Walsh entered PFL 7 as the biggest favorite on the card by a large margin, but ended up suffering his first pro loss.
The grandson of Muhammad Ali entered Friday night’s event in Chicago as a -1100 favorite on FanDuel, and as high as -1600 across the betting board as he stepped into the cage with Ronnie Gibbs — a 31-year-old local fighter competing in his second pro fight. Gibbs stunned the MMA world and delivered a second-round arm triangle choke for the huge upset.

Ali Walsh knocked Gibbs down with a vicious right hand within the first minute of the fight, but Gibbs recovered well. It looked like it would be just a matter of time before Ali Walsh got Gibbs out of there, hurting his opponent on multiple occasions in the opening stanza.
Gibbs made it to the second round, and was able to get Ali Walsh on the ground, where Gibbs showed to have the advantage in lieu of the memorable victory.
With the win, Gibbs improves to 2-0 with two finishes as a pro. Gibbs made his pro debut in March where he picked up a second-round TKO win for Chicago Cagefighting Championship.
Ali Walsh goes back to the drawing board after having his eight-fight PFL win streak snapped.
