Chinese esports organisation JDG Esports has officially launched the JDG Fan App in partnership with XBorg.

Launched on July 31st, the platform will serve as a one-stop tool for fans to interact with all of JDG’s esports teams. This includes getting daily life updates and the chance to redeem exclusive fan rewards by completing set challenges.

The challenges include actions such as following the team’s social media channels to make predictions on future matches, and even gaming challenges on League of Legends, which can be claimed by linking the app with the Riot ID. Premium users will also have exclusive feeds, first-class access and additional perks.

The in-app currency, Core Crystals, can allow fans to purchase items in the shop, which includes items such as a signed LPL jersey, esports tickets, and a slot in fan meets, among others. According to a representative from JDG Esports, the store will offer additional accessories made in collaboration with the team’s sponsors.

Created by using XBorg’s gamified platform, the fan app aims to bring more content to international fans and create engaging experiences for them. Moreover, JDG has officially launched an official Discord channel for fans to interact directly with players and members of staff.

JDG Esports’ History

Owned by e-commerce company Jingdong, JDG Esports is a well-known name within the esports scene, known for achieving major results in League of Legends in recent years. In 2023, the team was able to win the 2023 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational and both of LPL’s Spring and Summer Splits.

Prior to the start of the LPL Split 3, the League of Legends squad made two roster changes, swapping out top laner Hu ‘Ale‘ Jia-Le and support Lou ‘Missing‘ Yun-Feng with Xu ‘Xiaoxu” Xing-Zu and Zhang ‘Wink‘ Rui, as the team aims to qualify for the year-end World Championship, which will take place in China.

Aside from League of Legends, JDG Esports fields rosters in VALORANT, Honor of Kings, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, and Teamfight Tactics. As one of the 40 partner clubs in the Esports World Cup, the organisation has also picked up rosters in Apex Legends, StarCraft II, Street Fighter, Rainbow Six Siege, and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
