This is the UFC Fight Night live blog for Tatsuro Taira vs. Hyun Sung Park, the main card flyweight bout Saturday in Las Vegas.
Still only 25 years old, Taira (16-1) is already one of the best flyweights in the world. His last time out, Taira had the opportunity to vault into real title contention, but fell short in a Fight of the Year contender against Brandon Royval. Now Taira hopes to get back on track and put himself back in the mix with a big win this weekend.
Park (10-0) was originally set to face former title challenger Steve Erceg next weekend, but when Amir Albazi was forced out of the main event fight with Taira, the South Korean standout was called upon to step in. The Road to UFC champion is undefeated in his professional career and now gets a chance to catapult right to the top of the flyweight division.
