Team Liquid had been crowned champion of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s (MLBB) Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025, the ecosystem’s biggest event of the year.
Team Liquid’s Filipino team defeated defending champions, SRG OG, 4-1 to lift the trophy.
With this victory, the team have claimed $1m (~£750,000) of the $3m (~£2.25m) prize pool, the joint-highest in MLBB esports history. SRG OG, on the other hand, have earned $500,000 (~£375,000).
Team Liquid Dominate Through the Playoffs
Team Liquid PH were dominant throughout the tournament, especially in the play-offs.
The organisation began its Knockout Stage journey against Aurora Turkey, an opponent of its choice as the team had first pick of quarter-final rivals after placing first in Group A.
Team Liquid swept Aurora Turkey 3-0 to advance to the semi-finals, where it would face Indonesia’s ONIC.

Here, Team Liquid were the better side too, and would have won 3-0 had it not been for an error in game three. 2-0 up, the team were aiming to end the series at around the 12-minute mark, having taken down two turrets in each lane, kept all players alive and secured a Lord marching down the gold lane.
However, the team became over-confident, over-extended and were caught off guard by ONIC. From there, the game snowballed in ONIC’s favour, allowing the organisation to take game three.
Team Liquid PH closed the series in the next game to reach the grand final against the defending MSC champions, SRG OG.
Carrying Malaysia’s hopes, SRG OG had an intense path to the grand final. Both its series went to game five, but this showcased SRG’s resilience and ability to punish mistakes.
SRG OG an Obstacle to Team Liquid’s Win

For Team Liquid PH, winning the MSC meant a lot. Last year, the team bowed out to Falcons AP Bren in the semi-finals and placed fifth in the MPL Philippines, failing to qualify for M6.
Therefore, this MSC was all about redemption for the club. SRG OG, however, presented Team Liquid with its first significant challenge in the Knockout Stage.
In game one, the Malaysian side showed why its roster is among the best in the world. The opener was a one-sided affair, as SRG OG dominated map control. The opponents closed the game in under 16 minutes and had all but one of its turrets still standing.
Team Liquid, though, was not going down without a fight. It needed a boost of confidence, and that is exactly what the team got in the next match. It felt as though a switch had been flipped as Team Liquid dominated, ending the game without losing a single turret.
From there, Team Liquid’s MPL Philippines division secured back-to-back wins, taking the series 4-1 and claiming the title.
