Arena of Faith (AoF), a Web3 MOBA esports game developed on the Ethereum Layer 2 network Metis, has announced a strategic partnership with Ice Open Network (ION).
Announced on August 12th, 2025, the collaboration aims to shape a new era of decentralised, censorship-free digital interaction and immersive gameplay. Specifically, AoF emphasised that ION’s Layer 1 blockchain will provide scalability and low-cost transactions, thus, a great foundation for decentralised gaming experiences.
Arena of Faith Harnesses ION’s Online+
The partnership introduces new opportunities for creators to develop decentralised applications without technical barriers.Â
ION’s drag-and-drop app builder eliminates the need for coding expertise, enabling seasoned developers and newcomers to transform concepts into functional Web3 applications.
One of the key components of this partnership is the integration of Online+, ION’s flagship decentralised application, into AoF’s gaming ecosystem. Online+ combines social networking, instant messaging, and a cryptocurrency wallet into a single, censorship-resistant space.Â
By embedding Online+ into its ecosystem, AoF aims to create a more open, connected and user-controlled gaming environment.
Ice Ecosystem Welcomes AoF’s 250,000+ Players
For Ice Open Network, the alliance with Arena of Faith brings an established gaming community into its ecosystem.
According to the company, AoF already commands a strong presence with over 250,000 players on PC and mobile. Its Proof of Framesync (POFS) technology removes the need for centralised servers, instead using multi-node staking validation.
This partnership represents another step in AoF’s broader push to redefine digital interaction in gaming.Â
Back in May, the game teamed up with Tilted, a Web3 streaming platform similar to TikTok, to host new competitive tournaments and bring fresh audiences into its ecosystem.
As a fast-paced 5v5 MOBA that combines esports with blockchain, Arena of Faith continues to push the boundaries of what Web3 gaming can be. It is supported by major partners like Tencent, Animoca Brands, and YGG Global, and powered by its native $ACP token.
The end goal is to build a fully immersive world where players can own, trade, and monetise their in-game assets as NFTs.
