KRAFTON, the publisher behind PUBG, has unveiled the first batch of its in-game Team Edition skins for the 2025 esports season.

The first set will see exclusive designs from five global partner teams — Four Angry Men, DN Freecs, Twisted Minds, EARENA, and Natus Vincere. Each bundle includes a jacket or weapon paired with a unique nameplate.

According to a release, 25% of PUBG net sales from the Team Edition Skins will be allocated to the Global Partner teams. This is a common strategy used by game publishers to increase the revenue share to partner esports teams.

Each set will cost a total of 990 G-coin and will be sold for a limited period of time, starting around August 20th until September 8th, depending on the device and region. KRAFTON confirmed that the items may reappear through other in-game platforms, events and promotions after the sale period ends.

Expect More Global Partner Team bundles

With a total of 10 teams in this year’s PUBG Esports Global Partner Team Program, KRAFTON is expected to release team edition skins for the remaining five squads, which include Gen.G, Petrichor Road, Team Falcons, The Expendables, and 17Gaming.

Compared to last year, six esports organisations were kept in the programme, with DN Freecs, Earena, Team Falcons, and The Expendables as the new additions.

In particular, the game developer released the PGC 2024 Champion edition set in July this year, created to celebrate The Expendables‘ victory at last year’s PUBG Global Championship.

According to the partner programme, each team is guaranteed participation in the PUBG Global Series and the recently concluded Esports World Cup, which saw Twisted Minds take the win and the $661,000 (~£489,462) prize pool.

The upcoming S-tier tournament will be the PUBG Global Series 9, taking place in October and featuring a combined $300,000 (~£222,136) prize pool. The PUBG Global Championship, instead, will take place in December, celebrating this year’s world champions.
