Imperial Esports has unveiled the players that will form its European Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) academy roster.

In collaboration with online gambling platform Gamdom, the academy roster marks the Brazilian esports organisation’s expansion into Europe.

Revealed on August 27th, Imperial Esports says the creation of a European academy roster ‘is a decisive step’ in the organisation’s plan to expand its operations across the globe.

The project aims to provide a platform to shape the next generation of CS2 players looking to establish themselves within the international scene.

The inaugural academy roster features the Danish duo of Tristan ‘sh1Fu‘ Jensen and Frederik ‘Kragh‘ Kragh, the Ukrainian pairing of Maksym ‘ta9zqq‘ Hrytsai and Artem ‘oNESTLY‘ Kobziev, and a 20-year-old Russian rifler Nikita ‘Aliot‘ Kovalev.

“The Gamdom Imperial Academy represents more than just a team, it’s an investment in the future of esports,” the organisation posted on X (Twitter).

“By combining Imperial’s culture and winning values with Europe’s rising stars, our mission is to create an environment where talent flourishes, discipline is forged, and champions are built.”

The creation of the Gamdom Imperial Academy is the third CS2 roster fielded by the organisation. In addition to the academy side, it also fields a female roster and its main roster, which regularly competes in Tier 1 tournaments.

Imperial Esports in 2025

Imperial Esports is the latest organisation to operate an academy roster. It joins the likes of Berlin International Gaming (BIG) and The MongolZ, which have expanded into fielding teams with aspiring players looking to pursue a career in CS2 esports.

Throughout 2025, the team has competed in several Tier 2 events, achieving victory at Circuito FERJEE 2025 with a 2-0 win over fellow South American organisation Legacy.

Currently ranked 43rd in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the Imperial sits just outside of the top 32, which determines the teams that qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major in November.
