HEROIC has announced its academy player, David ‘fnl’ Mușuroiu, will join the Nexus Counter-Strike 2 team on trial for the next week.

Fnl will compete under the banner of the Romanian esports organisation during the open qualifiers for DraculaN and Betclic Clash Summer.

The 19-year-old Romanian rifler has risen through the ranks of various academy rosters since embarking on a playing career in 2022. Over the past three years, fnl has represented the academy rosters of NAVI and Monte, before joining HEROIC’s academy side in April 2025.

“After some consideration, he will be allowed to stand in for the Romanian squad for the next week in their upcoming tournaments,” said HEROIC on social media. “We’re proud to see fnl getting the opportunity to prove himself further and we wish him the best of luck.”

HEROIC Academy has competed across several online and offline Tier 3 tournaments to develop its players to move onto the next stage of their careers, whether it’s a call-up to the main roster or a move to another organisation looking to enhance its Counter-Strike 2 lineup.

Notable results include a second-place finish at Gamebox Masters 2025 in April and fourth place in Division 2 of European Pro League Season 27.

HEROIC In 2025

Throughout 2025, HEROIC has managed to generate funds through the sale of its Counter-Strike 2 players, alongside managing to recruit new talent to keep hold of its place within the top 32 of the Valve Regional Standings (VRS)

In August, the organisation announced the sale of Andrey ‘tN1R’ Tatarinovich after an unnamed organisation triggered the player’s buyout clause.

The Norwegian organisation’s main roster is currently ranked 18th in the August VRS as the battle for the top 32 begins to heat up ahead of the StarLadder Budapest Major taking place in November.

HEROIC’s academy roster is ranked 137th, placing it among other academy teams, including VP Prodigy and ENCE Academy.
