The first round of matches for ALGS Year 5 Split 2 Pro League have kicked off across all regions, with top teams across the globe using all manner of weapons and floor loot to achieve victory.

Data has since been gathered to illustrate the most popular weapons and amps in the meta, offering a glimpse into the strategies and builds used by the best players in the competitive scene.

The data shown was shared by Apex Legends Status, though it is not associated with Electronic Arts or Respawn Entertainment.

These are the most dominant weapons in ALGS Year 5 Pro League Split 2 across all regions:

Weapon Eliminations Damage
Peacekeeper 352 140,333
R-99 SMG 199 73.954
RE-45 Auto 185 70,105
30-30 Repeater 180 245,689
G7 Scout 72 105,188

There are some noteworthy additions here, including both the best weapons in the game and surprise picks.

The Peacekeeper shotgun and R-99 SMG have been staples of the game since launch, capable of dealing high bursts of damage at close range. The G7 Scout and 30-30 Repeater have also become incredibly popular in recent updates as reliable guns for long-range engagements.

However, there are also niche weapons such as the RE-45 Auto pistol, which is ranked third highest despite having the lowest damage out of the top five ranked. This is because it recently received an update, transforming it into the game’s first Elite weapon, giving it energy ammo and burst-fire. Despite recent nerfs, it was still a reliable sidearm picked by pros during the Split 2 Pro League.

The Most Popular Amps in Pro League

During the first day of ALGS Split 2 Pro League, various amps were available for players to use. Amps are new floor loot items added in Season 26, which provide extra passives for Legends upon pick up.

This included resource amps such as Bottomless Batteries, where batteries aren’t consumed upon use, and defensive amps like Over Armour, which gives an additional 25 shields.

According to Apex Legends Status, these were the most popular Amps used across APAC North, APAC South and EMEA:

  • Power Booster – 369
  • Overflow Healer – 335
  • Bottomless Batteries – 279
  • Over Armor – 67
  • Infinite Ammo – 51

Power Booster reduces the tactical and ultimate cooldown, in addition to recharging tactical on knockdowns. Overflow grants shield and health regeneration over time after using a cell or syringe. These were by far the most popular amps as pro players favoured a more aggressive playstyle throughout matches.

The first day of Split 2 Pro League matches has finished across all major regions, though the competitions will not finish until October, with both the Regular Season and Finals yet to conclude. Only time will tell if these same weapons will be used, or if teams will start deviating to more innovative choices to secure the battle royale win.
