European organisation Ex Oblivione has announced that it is disbanding its Marvel Rivals competitive roster, letting go of six players in the process.

The team and organisation part ways ahead of the Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2 tournament in the EMEA region, where Ex Oblivione have been invited based on its performance in the Season 2 Championship.

In the announcement, Ex Oblivione said: “Today, we part ways with our Marvel Rivals roster. We’re grateful for the team’s efforts with Ex Oblivione and wish them the best in their future endeavours.”

These are all the Marvel Rivals players that have since left Ex Oblivione:

  • Asher ‘ashh‘ Ahmed – Vanguard
  • Kenlakaj – Vanguard
  • Maksimus ‘m2zuri‘ Vukya – Vanguard
  • Oleg ‘Oleg‘ Krassmann – Duellist
  • Aatu ‘Olli‘ Olli – Strategist
  • Sector – Strategist

Members of the roster went online to confirm the news of the roster’s disbandment, with others sharing that they are in search of a new organisation to sign with.

Ex Oblivione’s Journey in Marvel Rivals

Ex Oblivione has experienced both highs and lows within the Marvel Rivals competitive scene since first entering back in July, 2024.

In 2025, things started off rough for the UK-based organisation, placing 11th in the Season 0 Championship Europe PC division, and 8th in the Season 1 Championship.

Ex Oblivione also missed its chance to compete in Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 after losing to Team1, a roster that would go on to win the Ignite Mid Season Finals.

However, it wouldn’t be until July, 2025 that the organisation would finally have its moment in the spotlight, winning the EMEA PC division of the Season 2 Championship, taking $6,000 (~£4,479) in winnings. Following this result, the organisation would be invited to compete in Ignite Stage 2, scheduled to face off against top teams such as Team1 (formerly Rad EU), Virtus.pro and EMEA Stage 1 champions Citadel Gaming (formerly Brr Brr Patapim).

It is unclear whether Ex Oblivione intends to compete in Stage 2, perhaps with a new roster of players, or if the departure marks the end of the organisation’s journey in the Marvel Rivals scene.
