Virtus.pro has promoted Vadim ‘tO0RO‘ Arkov to its main Counter-Strike 2 roster after impressing in the organisation’s academy squad.
The promotion follows the benching of Denis ‘electroNic‘ Sharipov following the team’s failure to qualify for BLAST Open London.
The roster change came shortly after Ilya ‘Perfecto‘ Zalutskiy became the team’s new in-game leader (IGL) after electroNic was benched on August 31st, 2025.
TO0RO was part of a VP.Prodigy team that has managed to achieve some notable victories throughout 2025. During RES Showdown Fall 2025, the team managed to defeat Team Liquid and FUT Esports en-route to a second-place finish.
“Over the past few weeks, the club has been testing players from the academy roster in search of the best fit,” said Virtus.pro following tO0RO’s arrival on the main roster.
“Vadim impressed in the anchor role, and for now the choice has fallen on him.”
In 2025, Virtus.pro has struggled to find its feet among the world’s best Counter-Strike 2 teams. The organisation has placed no higher than the top six in the past eight months, despite showing glimpses of potential.
What Next For Virtus.Pro?
The new-look Virtus.pro lineup will be in action at FISSURE Playground 2, taking place in Serbia from September 12th to 21st, 2025. The event gives the team an opportunity to earn valuable Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points to secure a place in the top 32.
Currently ranked 17th in the August VRS, the addition of TO0RO could bring about success for a team looking to cement its place ahead of the StarLadder Budapest Major in November.
Alongside the addition of a new player, a change of in-game leadership brings a new level of responsibility onto Perfecto, a player who has already demonstrated the ability required to compete at the top level of Counter-Strike 2 esports, having won the PGL Stockholm Major in 2021.
