Team Vitality signed ExpressVPN as an official partner yesterday, adding the virtual-private-network provider to its commercial roster in a year-long agreement.

The French organisation’s deal covers its competitive rosters across Europe, though specific titles weren’t disclosed. ExpressVPN will provide digital security services to Vitality’s players, staff and fanbase while running activations throughout 2025.

Team Vitality Aims to Bring More Experiences to Fans

As part of the partnership, fans will get immediate access to a two-week free trial through a dedicated platform. After the trial, subscribers can choose between monthly, annual, or two-year plans with discounts. The company’s also running a competition for three signed Vitality jerseys.

Nicolas Maurer, CEO and Co-founder of Team Vitality, said the partnership aligns with serving its international community: “Together, we want to drive performance and deliver the best possible digital experience to our fans. We cannot wait to kick off this exciting season.”

The announcement comes as Vitality continues building its commercial portfolio. The team’s Counter-Strike 2 roster has also recently inked a deal with sportsbook platform and online casino, Stake. ExpressVPN positions itself as addressing genuine concerns in competitive gaming – DDoS attacks remain a persistent issue for streamers and pro players, while ISP throttling can impact match performance.

It’s not ExpressVPN’s first partnership in esports. The company has previously had deals with teams such as Dignitas and Pittsburgh Knights. The VPN provider has also partnered with Riot Games’ LEC for 2025. For gamers, the service promises DDoS protection, reduced ping and stable connections through its Lightway protocol.

Zac Eller, GM of Global Partnerships at ExpressVPN, referenced the company’s recent esports moves: “We’ve seen first-hand how our partnerships come in clutch for the gaming community, most recently as a Summer Split Partner of Riot Games. We can’t wait to build on that success with Vitality’s players and fans around the world.”

Both companies plan additional activations throughout the year, though details remain under wraps. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Vitality currently fields teams in League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League and VALORANT, among other titles.
