World of Warcraft (WoW) has announced the return of the Mythic Dungeon International and the Arena World Championship as part of the MMORPG title’s Ghosts of K’aresh update.
Across the two tournaments, players can compete for a share of $520,000 (~£383,051) in prize money.
Starting from October 1st, cups for the Arena World Championship and Time Trials for the Mythic Dungeon International will begin.
Open to players based in Europe and North America, registrations for both competitions are open on the Raider.io platform.
Throughout Season 3, the Arena World Championship will feature three qualification cups for each region. The top three teams from each qualifier will advance to the Grand Final, while the bottom five squads earn a place in the Gauntlet.
The winner of the Gauntlet will claim the fourth and final place in The War Within Grand Final, taking place from November 15th to 16th, with $200,000 (~£147,258) on the line.
October will also see the Time Trials for the Mythic Dungeon International get underway. The top 18 teams from the Time Trial will qualify for place in the three groups, featuring a $30,000 (~£22,090) prize pool in each one. Notably, China’s group will not feature a prize pool.
The top two teams from each group will advance for the Global Finals, taking place from November 21st to 23rd, with eight teams competing for a share of $300,000 (~£220,869).
World Of Warcraft Esports in 2025
World of Warcraft continues to expand its esports offerings, while also attracting new esports organisations competing in the title’s Race to World First (RWF) campaigns.
In August, Blizzard hosted the Creator Clash at Gamescom 2025 to showcase the MMORPG, with several content creators taking part.
The most recent Race to World First concluded in August, with Team Liquid becoming the first organisation to complete the Mythic Manaforge Omega raid, making it the first guild to secure a RWF accolade in every World of Warcraft expansion.
