Indian esports company NODWIN Gaming has announced a collaboration with electric car manufacturer Tesla for Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 4.

This marks the first collaboration for the car brand with an Indian esports tournament. Tesla looks to expand its presence following the opening of experience centres across the country’s major cities.

Tesla will be kicking off the Grand Finals of BGMS Season 4, held from September 12th to September 14th, with the Tesla Light Show, before the best 16 teams will fight it off for the title and the lion’s share of its INR 1.5 crore (~£126,912) prize pool.

Tesla joins a long list of partners supporting the competition, including smartphone partner OnePlus, co-title sponsor Android, Red Bull and Duolingo, among others.

The Grand Finals of the BGMS Season 4 will also be broadcast on national television, airing during prime-time from 5 PM (12:30 PM BST) to 8 PM IST (3:30 PM BST).

NODWIN Gaming Makes Major Moves in Esports

NODWIN is not only establishing itself as the leading company in the Indian market, but it is also making moves in the global esports ecosystem. The company recently acquired Sony Interactive Entertainment’s stake in the fighting game tournament Evo to become the majority shareholder.

Founded by Rathee and Gautam Singh Virk in 2014, NODWIN Gaming has received funding from several stakeholders, including Krafton, JetSynthesys, and Sony Group. Before its recent investment, Nodwin Gaming noted that the company’s latest valuation had reached $410m (~£322.26m), as of November 2024.

In the past years, NODWIN has expanded its portfolio by acquiring several other companies in the space, including gaming marketing agencies Freaks 4U Gaming and Publishme, events firm Branded, and Trinity Gaming.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, commented on the new partnership: “At NODWIN Gaming, every season of BGMS is about pushing boundaries, and this year we’re proud to have Tesla join the journey.

“Their association reflects how esports in India has grown into a mainstream cultural and commercial platform that forward-looking brands want to engage with. Together, we’re shaping how global brands and gaming communities connect, here in India and beyond. Collaborations like this show what’s possible when innovation and culture come together.”
