BLAST, the operator of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS), has unveiled the roadmap for the title’s 2026 esports season.

The tournament organiser revealed that next year’s season will feature an additional LAN tournament and the arrival of two-versus-two as a third competitive game mode.

Following the conclusion of the RLCS World Championship, which was won by NRG, BLAST revealed the 2026 season will begin on November 14th, 2025.

From December 5th to 7th, a Kick-Off LAN will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, which will act as the finale for the season’s first Open event.

The Kick-Off LAN will feature 12 teams competing for the season’s first offline trophy and will act as the first opportunity for fans to see how each region fares against the other.

Following the Kick-Off LAN, the first split will end with the first RLCS Major of the year set to take place in North America in February. Split two will see Rocket League return to France, with Major 2 taking place at the La Défense Arena in Paris.

Details on the Major 1 venue have yet to be revealed.

Similar to 2025, the 2026 season features three online Opens per split, with a Major LAN event taking place at the end of each one. Last-chance qualifiers for the World Championship will also return, with the season-ending event being extended to six days.

Following the addition of 1v1 tournaments in the 2025 RLCS competitive circuit, 2026 will now feature 2v2s as a third competitive game mode. According to BLAST, the 2v2 events will have separate Opens and will be featured at LANs.

RLCS 2026 Roster Eligibility

For 2026, the RLCS has adjusted its roster eligibility for three-versus-three competition. Two of the three players must be residents or citizens of the region they’re competing in.

For teams choosing to field a substitute, three of the four players must adhere to the new eligibility requirements.

BLAST stated that these changes “are designed to keep regional competition fair and balanced, while still allowing international talent to shine.”
