Chinese game developer NetEase Games has unveiled the Dunk City Dynasty Global Championship 2025 (DCDG), an international tournament revolved around the 3v3 streetball mobile game.
The competition will see the best teams around the world face off to reach the offline finals taking place in Shanghai next month . Competitors will battle for a share of its $100,000 (~ÂŁ73,300) prize pool.
The global championship will span across seven regions: Europe, North America, Latin America, Mainland China, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau, the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
Dunk City Dynasty Global Championship will be split into three stages
The DCDG will have three different stages to determine the championship-winning team. Starting off with the Open Qualifiers, registered teams will go head-to-head in an 8-group bracket, with the winner of each bracket advancing.
The top eight teams from each regional league will then take part in stage two, where the top team will claim a ticket to the offline finals.
According to a release, there will be a total of 10 teams taking part in the LAN event, with one additional slot to Mainland China, Europe, and North America. In the last stage, the 10 teams will square off in the Global Championship Finals, crowning the first-ever DCDG champion.
Registrations are already open, and the open qualifier will be running until October 5 across all regions. The Regional Finals will be played on October 11th-12th, with the Global Championship Finals taking place November 21st to November 23rd. Mainland China will have a different schedule compared to the other regional leagues.
