Counter-Strike legend Peter ‘dupreeh‘ Rasmussen has announced a new FPS game called Skyward Masters.

The bed-wars-inspired arena shooter game is currently in development and is scheduled to release sometime in 2027.

A thirty-second trailer of the ‘genre-defining arena FPS’ was shared by dupreeh. He added how the game includes battling for ‘points of interest’, and involves gathering ‘resources’ while eliminating foes to be the ‘last team standing’.

Matches are also set to feature four teams, but little else is known about the gameplay. Dupreeh has further clarified some details surrounding the upcoming FPS game. For example, movement is expected to be ‘a very important focus point’ of the title.

As of writing, the game is set to be available for wishlist on Steam in a couple of days after the announcement. In the meantime, fans can sign up for the newsletter and closed playtests on the Skyward Masters official website.

The game is being developed by Trinor Entertainment, a Danish studio that has taken on Skyward Masters as its first original IP. The studio welcomed both the Counter-Strike legend and Astralis Founder, Frederik Byskov, as minority investors and partners.

“Skyward Masters is my first ever involvement as an investor and direct game-developing,” dupreeh commented. “Working mainly on core FPS gameplay and values. We are still at a very early stage, but I am beyond excited to see where this takes me and the game, planning on a full release 2027.”

As of writing, the studio has opened its pre-seed investment round for Skyward Masters, which will close sometime later this year.

Dupreeh’s Success in Counter-Strike

Dupreeh is a well-known icon within the Counter-Strike esports scene, partaking in various tournaments dating all the way back to 2012.

He currently stands as the only player in history to have five Major titles to his name, winning events such as FACEIT Major in London in 2018, 2019’s Intel Extreme Masters Katowice, and 2023’s BLAST.tv Paris Major. In June this year, the player announced his retirement as an active competitor in the Grand Finals of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
