Including well-known rosters such as Team Falcons and PARAVISION, these teams will compete in the first major event of the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) 2025/2026 season.

Here are all the Dota 2 teams that have been invited to compete in DreamLeague Season 27:

The invited teams join the eight squads that have advanced to the Dota 2 tournament through the regional closed qualifiers. As of writing, five more teams have yet to be decided from Division 2 Stage 1.

There are some heavy hitters among the invited squads. A top roster to keep an eye on includes The International 2025 champions, Team Falcons, which defeated Xtreme Gaming 3-2 in the Grand Finals.

PARAVISION also enters as a top contender as the winner of DreamLeague Season 26, which it won after defeating BetBoom Team 3-0, taking home $250,000 (~£185,000) in winnings. The Dota 2 team has had a strong performance in the 2024/2025 season, winning ESL One Raleigh 2025, and finishing third in The Internationals 2025.

What to Expect from DreamLeague Season 27

ESL’s DreamLeague Season 27 will be held as an online event from December 10th to 21st, 2025. 24 of the top Dota 2 teams, qualified and invited, will compete for the lion’s share of a $1m (~£749,400) prize pool, alongside 19,500 EPT Points and $250,000 (~£187,350) in club rewards.

EPT Points are distributed based on a team’s performance during an event, influencing its standings in the EPT leaderboards. The highest-ranking teams are then invited to future events, such as DreamLeague and ESL One.

Fans can expect a Swiss system Group Stage to kickstart the tournament, comprising Bo3 matches. The event heats up with a double-elimination bracket Playoffs, before finishing with a Bo5 Grand Final to decide the winner. A detailed schedule has yet to be revealed.

All matches from ESL DreamLeague Season 27 can be viewed live from ESL’s Dota 2 Twitch and YouTube channels.

DreamLeague Season 27 marks the beginning of the 2025/2026 season, a year boasting a revamped format. Following the Dota 2 competition, the esports scene moves ahead with Season 28 and ESL One Birmingham taking place next year.
