Marvel Rivals season 4.5: New heroes and team ups

The latest hero to join the Marvel Rivals roster in season 4.5 is Daredevil, who will be a Duelist. In the Dev Vision video, Daredevil is described as an agile hero who can use his Billy Clubs to unleash quick and deadly attacks on the enemy team.
The creative director of Marvel Rivals, Guangguang, also revealed that when using his ultimate ability, Daredevil releases the fury of an entity called “The Beast.” When his ultimate is active, Daredevil will inflict fear into enemies when they look at him, which sounds like it could be an effective crowd control ability that could separate the enemy team and leave them vulnerable (if it plays out the way that it sounds in the video).

There are also some changes to the team up abilities currently in Marvel Rivals with season 4.5. Hela and Thor’s Ragnarok Rebirth team up will be removed, and Namor will no longer be part of the Gamma Charge team up (Black Panther and The Hulk will remain within the team up).

The first new team up is called Bestial Hunt, and its between The Punisher and Daredevil, while the second features Namor and Hela and is called Deep Wrath. Although only small clips of the new team ups are shown, they already look like they will make a significant difference to gameplay, especially Namor and Hela’s combo. Bestial Hunt looks like it will grant The Punisher a grenade with a blinding effect. It has a cooldown period of 15 seconds.

Deep Wrath looks like it could be a brutal ability. It seems that Namor receives an area of effect ability that applies anti-heal to those in the AoE. This ability has a 15-second cooldown, as shown in the clip from the dev video.

In addition, Namor also seems to spawn a black, demon-like squid when he or Hela gets an elimination. If this team up is as powerful as these quick clips make it look, then players will likely be seeing a lot more Namor and Hela bans in season 4.5 of Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals season 4.5: Seasonal skins

New skins were also teased in the Dev Vision video via concept art designs, all of which look fantastic. The skins are all spooky themed, which coincides with the Halloween season. The first skins shown are Halloween-style looks for Peni Parker, Jeff The Land Shark and Namor. Jeff dons an adorable pumpkin costume, while Peni and Namor have skins that seem to be themed around the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday.

The next skins shown are ones that Marvel Rival players were hoping for after the release of the Marvel Zombies animated miniseries on Disney+. Scarlet Witch gets a zombie Wanda skin that looks as she does in the show, while Blade dons the Blade Knight outfit (Blade takes on the mantle of Moon Knight in Marvel Zombies, becoming Blade Knight). These are both highly anticipated skins for each hero, and it’s great that players will have the chance to obtain them sooner rather than later. The Spider-Man skin is a bit more obscure, as it seems to be some kind of werewolf/demon version of the web slinger. It’s got an awesome design that is both unique and creative, so it could become a popular look for Spider-Man players.
Marvel Rivals season 4.5: Cross progression and a new game mode

A feature that will start to be slowly implemented in season 4.5 is cross progression, which players have wanted since the game was first released in December 2024. This won’t be a full rollout just yet, though. Only small groups of players will be invited to test out the feature in season 4.5, with the full launch coming in season 5. A new game mode was also teased, but the only information given was that details would be revealed on October 17 at the Thailand Game Show.
Home screen customisation

The final feature teased is the new customisation options for players’ home screens. In season 4.5, players will be able to change the background for their home screen to any of the art from the previous seasons. The music will also be customisable, as the music for the home screen changes with each season. This might not seem like a particularly noteworthy feature, but it’s a nice opportunity for players to have even more personalisation.
That’s everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals season 4.5 as of right now. There isn’t much longer to wait until players can see exactly what the new hero and team ups will bring to the game, as well as what the new skins will look like, as the update is launching in just over a week’s time.
