Gen.G Esports player Papangkorn ‘ASIAZXD‘ Pattarawonghan has broken the all-time Apex Legends record for the most kills in an ALGS series, achieving 34 eliminations across six games.

According to Respawn Entertainment, the player boasts an average of 5.67 kills and 1791 damage per game, with 115 total eliminations so far in ALGS Year 5 Split 2 Pro league.

ASIAXD broke the previous record of 33 kills set by Li ‘ShaoJie‘ Shao-jie of Deep Cross Gaming, achieved during ALGS Split 1 Pro League earlier this year. Other top performers over the years in terms of highest kills include Fnatic’s Yuga ‘YukaF‘ Horie with 32, and both Natus Vincere’s Jose ‘Uxako‘ Llosa and SOTEN’s ‘kakigoori7‘ with 31 kills each.

He is not the only star player from Gen.G Esports, as the ALGS also highlighted his teammates’ achievements. For example, Jirayut ‘Z1CKKY” Apiwongngam broke the record for the most number of assists in a six-game series, with 45 in total.

Gen.G Esports has been a dominating force within the APAC South scene. As of writing, it has accumulated 110 points so far, outperforming rosters such as Wolves Esports, Al Qadsiah, and S8UL Esports. As it currently stands, it is regarded amongst fans and spectators as one of the favourites to win the Split 2 Pro League in the region.

ALGS Split 2 Pro League

The ALGS Year 5 Split 2 Pro League scene ramps up as the Regular Season nears its conclusion, and soon the top teams in each region will move on to the Finals.

The Americas scene has seen numerous teams take the top spots, with rosters such as Team Falcons and Ninjas in Pyjamas consistently ranking within the top ten teams. With two games left, teams like Sentinels and Fyr Strays are at risk of elimination unless performances improve.

In EMEA, Alliance has been the talk of the region as it dominates the scene, ahead of the pack with 50 points accumulated so far. Hot on its trail is GoNext Esports with 42 points. Despite parting ways with its Year 4 Championship roster, the team has so far proven to be a strong contender with its new trio.

One team stands out in APAC North, SOTEN, a squad that has secured 102 points so far in the regional Pro League, positioning itself as the favourite to win. Other well-known organisations, such as Fnatic and REJECT, have also placed within the top 20 teams so far, but only time will tell which teams will move on to the regional Finals.
