Tournament platform FACEIT has shared the results of an integrity review into the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 talent ‘nocries‘ after the player reached the top of the North American leaderboard.

As part of the review, the player visited the esports platform’s New York headquarters to play matches under supervision

The results, published on October 2nd, 2025, reveal that FACEIT’s integrity staff found no issues regarding any potential breaches of its rules. Following several accusations of cheating, the platform’s anti-cheat client didn’t detect any suspicious activity.

Following a successful initial review, FACEIT conducted a more detailed background check, interviewing nocries to seek clarity about his profile and history in Counter-Strike esports. The account used to top the leaderboard was created in January 2022 and started competing on the North American ladder in June 2025.

“The review found no breach of FACEIT’s competitive integrity policies,” said FACEIT following the checks.

“Normal session-to-session statistical variance was present as expected in a small sample. During the visit, he re-attained the rank #1 in North America and top-fragged his first-ever FPL match.”

During his time in New York, FACEIT invited nocries to compete in its in-house FPL circuit, where professional players and selected new talents compete in solo-queue matches.

To ensure competitive integrity is maintained on its platform, FACEIT has also announced it will introduce a new validation protocol for high-ranked players to ensure cheating doesn’t impact matches.

In addition to validation protocols, the platform is also planning an update to its anti-cheat to crack down on the number of hackers accessing the higher ranks.

What Next For Nocries?

After a successful review, FACEIT has extended its trial invitation to FPL to an indefinite invite, allowing nocries to continue competing against higher-skilled players.

Having proven his innocence, it will be interesting to see if any esports organisation recruit the player to its CS2 roster, offering him his first professional team and an opportunity to compete in LAN tournaments.
