Two-time World Series of Warzone champion ‘Shifty‘ has hinted at plans to switch from the battle royale title to compete in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

The Team Falcons player has posted his intentions to compete at the opening Challengers event of the next Call of Duty League (CDL) season.

On October 7th, 2025, Shifty revealed that he and 100 Thieves Warzone player Rasim ‘Blazt‘ Ogresevic are looking for two players to complete a four-man squad to attend the first Challengers event of the new season.

In addition to seeking teammates, the player also revealed that he’s looking for funding to attend the event.

This isn’t the first time Shifty has considered a switch to Call of Duty’s other esports circuit. After winning the World Series of Warzone for the first time in 2023, he confirmed his interest in competing in the CDL.

“Something about the CDL entices me,” said Shifty in a GGRecon interview. “I like the hard work. Being able to start from the bottom again and then work my way up, and especially LANs, I feed off this energy.”

Will Shifty Switch To Black Ops 7?

If Shifty does make the switch to Black Ops 7 from Call of Duty Warzone, he will be one of the first players to do so. In recent years, there have been several cases of former CDL players transferring their skills to Warzone, but few have made the switch the other way.

Joining forces with Blazt, a former member of the Los Angeles Guerrillas, would provide much-needed experience in a Challengers circuit that is full of former pros and up-and-coming amateur talent.

Depending on team composition and if it can achieve success at the first Challengers event of the season, Shifty could find himself rising through the ranks of another Call of Duty esports circuit.
