Chinese esports organisation Vici Gaming has announced its return to Dota 2 esports with the signing of a new roster.

The team will make its debut at FISSURE Playground 2, taking place from October 23rd to November 2nd, 2025.

In an announcement published on Weibo, Vici Gaming unveiled its roster and coach ahead of the 2025/26 season. For FISSURE Playground 2, the team will be fielding Lin ‘planet‘ Hao as a stand-in due to Xiong ‘pyw‘ Jiahan’s wedding clashing with the tournament taking place in Belgrade, Serbia.

Pyw reunites with Cong ‘Dy‘ Ding, who is returning to Dota 2 esports after retiring in October 2024. The pairing played an integral role in Vici Gaming’s victories at EPICENTER Major 2019 and DreamLeague Season 11.

Alongside Pyw and Dy, midlaner Hongcheng ‘Xm‘ Guo joins following a second-place finish at The International 2025 under the Xtreme Gaming banner. Malaysian offlaner Chung ‘Ws‘ Wei Shen is another addition to Vici Gaming after leaving Talon Esports.

The fifth and final player is Lou ‘Lou‘ Zhen, who returns to Dota 2 for the first time since September. The 20-year-old carry scored a top-eight placement during the FISSURE Playground 2 closed qualifier.

Vici Gaming’s Storied Legacy

Founded in 2012, Vici Gaming is one of the most recognisable names in Dota 2 esports. The Chinese organisation first appeared at The International in 2014, finishing second to Newbee in the Grand Final.

Between 2018 and 2019, the team cemented its place as one of China’s strongest teams with victories at ESL One Hamburg 2018, the EPICENTER Major, and the ONE Esports Invitational 2019.

In 2022, Vici Gaming’s performances started to decline following the introduction of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). The team failed to qualify for The International 2022 and was demoted from the top tier of regional competition in 2023.

Vici Gaming made a brief return in the Chinese open qualifier for The International 2025 in June. The team scored a top-six placement before disappearing until October with the unveiling of its new roster.
