ESL Pro League Season 22 has reached the Playoffs, with eight teams emerging from two stages packed full of shocks and surprises.

Over the past two weeks, 24 teams from across the world have battled through two five-round Swiss stages to secure a place in the Playoffs at one of Counter-Strike’s longest-standing esports tournaments.

Ahead of the first Playoff match, Esports Insider checks out the full list of teams that have made it to the Pro League’s final stage.

ESL Pro League Season 22 Playoff Teams

Six of the top ten from October’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS) have advanced from Stage 2. One notable absence is The MongolZ, which failed to make the Playoffs after losing to NAVI in its fifth-round match.

Team Spirit

Team Spirit took the fewest rounds to secure Playoff qualification, scoring a flawless 3-0 record on its way to taking the top seed from Stage 2.

Straightforward victories over Inner Circle Esports, HOTU and G2 Esports wrapped up Stage 2 in three decisive rounds, putting the esports organisation in an excellent position to take the title.

FaZe Clan

Following the surprise return of Håvard ‘rain’ Nygaard, his last dance with FaZe Clan is proving successful, earning another playoff appearance.

The team managed to turn around a forfeit to G2 Esports and a 2-0 defeat to 3DMAX before bouncing back with three consecutive wins, defeating Aurora Gaming 2-1 in its round five match. With rain returning to the bench after Pro League, the FaZe magic could lead the team to an unlikely win.

3DMAX

3DMAX continues to fly the flag for French Counter-Strike at Tier 1 tournaments. After scoring a top 11 placement at ESL Pro League Season 21, the team looks to achieve an even better result in Season 22.

Despite defeats to FURIA and FaZe Clan, 3DMAX overcame some stiff opposition to book its place in the Playoffs. A strong result could also spark momentum heading into the CS Asia Championship and the StarLadder Budapest Major.

NAVI

Of all eight Playoff teams, NAVI required the most rounds to secure a place at the ESL Pro League Season 22 Playoffs. The Ukrainian organisation started well, with a 2-0 sweep of Aurora Gaming before suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of Team Falcons and 3DMAX.

Following the defeats, two comfortable wins over HOTU and The MongolZ wrapped up an eventful Stage 2 for a team looking to rediscover some form heading into the Major.

MOUZ

MOUZ continues to demonstrate incredible consistency at the highest level of Counter-Strike esports. Three 2-0 wins over Gamer Legion, Gentle Mates, and 3DMAX were enough to earn another place in the Playoffs of a high-profile tournament.

The German organisation hasn’t won a tournament since PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 in February, and has another chance at championship glory at Pro League.

Team Vitality

Team Vitality remains among the world’s best teams despite a slight dip in form that has seen the French organisation drop to third in October’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS).

A surprise defeat to regional rivals Gentle Mates in the first round of matches has lit a fire underneath the team, which followed up with three clinical 2-0 sweeps of GamerLegion, HOTU, and G2 Esports.

With another Playoff appearance secured, the team has a chance to defend its Season 21 title, along with another accolade that contributes to the multi-million-dollar ESL Grand Slam initiative.

Team Falcons

After missing out on victory at the Esports World Cup and FISSURE Playground 2, Team Falcons heads into the Pro League Playoffs with a chance to cement itself as a Major contender.

The pairing of Ilya ‘m0NESY‘ Osipov and Maxim ‘kyousuke‘ Lukin is beginning to yield a lethal impact on the server, opening the door for the organisation to win its first event in six months.

FURIA

With The MongolZ suffering a surprise elimination, FURIA is the highest-ranked team competing in the ESL Pro League Season 22 Playoffs.

The move to an international roster is paying off, with the Brazilian organisation taking home the FISSURE Playground 2 title in addition to better consistency in the latter stages of a tournament.

Having battled through Stage 1 and 2, FURIA is firing on all cylinders and is in with a chance of lifting another trophy.

ESL Pro League Season 22 Matches

Following the conclusion of Stage 2, the ESL Pro League Season 22 Playoff matches are as follows:

  • 3DMAX vs Team Falcons
  • MOUZ vs NAVI
  • Team Spirit vs FaZe Clan
  • FURIA vs Team Vitality

The Playoffs get underway on October 10th, 2025. Fans can tune into the action through ESL’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
