Team Vitality has announced a partnership with Counter-Strike skin marketplace, Skin.Land.

The deal will see the platform become the skin partner of the French esports organisation’s CS2 roster.

According to a release, the two parties will collaborate on a range of digital and in-person activations which includes bonuses, promotional codes, and giveaways.

The partnership aims to improve Skin.Land’s credibility and visibility within Counter-Strike 2’s skin-trading ecosystem.

“We are delighted to welcome Skin.Land to the Team Vitality family,” said Nicolas Maurer, CEO of Team Vitality.

“Partnering with such a trusted and innovative brand within the Counter-Strike ecosystem is a strong signal of reliability for us. Their constant focus on delivering a safe, transparent, and high-quality experience for players perfectly aligns with our own values.”

Skin.Land becomes the 12th partner of Team Vitality, joining the likes of Stake, Hummel, and gaming furniture manufacturer Secretlab on its roster.

Currently ranked third in October’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the organisation is among the best Counter-Strike teams in the world. In October, it successfully defended its ESL Pro League title, sweeping aside Team Falcons to win ESL Pro League Season 22.

CS2’s Turbulent Skin Economy

Counter-Strike’s skin economy continues to be a hot topic of conversation within the community.

On October 23rd, Valve introduced an update allowing players to trade up for knives and gloves. As a result of the update, the skin market lost over $3bn (~£2.2bn) in value due to new skins entering circulation.

There are early signs of the market experiencing a rebound. As of October 27th, the market cap has risen to $4.1bn (~£3bn) from the low hit on October 25th.

Team Vitality isn’t the only organisation to join forces with a skin marketplace. In September, Fnatic partnered with Skinrave to collaborate on a range of content and host community tournaments.
