The second day of the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals at DreamHack Atlanta saw another round of fierce matchups between the best teams in the world.
Three teams stood out as they dominated their respective groups, including Virtus.pro in Group A, and Natus Vincere (NAVI) and FlyQuest in Group B.
Esports Insider recaps the second round of matches during the Group Stage of Marvel Rivals‘ pinnacle esports event of 2025.
All Matches Played
On October 27th, the tournament’s Group Stage began, where teams were split up into two groups of six participants.
October 28th saw 10 matches played between the top-qualified teams of Ignite Stage 2, fighting for a place in the Playoffs.
These are the day two results of the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals:
- Group A
- ChopperMag 2-0 Aconyx
- Virtus.pro 2-0 REJECT
- Aconyx 0-2 DarkZero
- Virtus.pro 2-1 ChopperMag
- ENVY 1-2 DarkZero
- Group B
- FlyQuest 2-1 OUG
- 100 Thieves 0-2 NAVI
- Citadel Gaming 0-2 FlyQuest
- 100 Thieves 2-0 Crazy Raccoon
- Citadel Gaming 0-2 NAVI
The Group Stage standings have dramatically shifted in light of the results of day two. As of writing, Virtus.pro, NAVI, and FlyQuest have topped their respective groups with a 3-0 win/loss record.
On the other hand, ENVY, the runner-up of the Mid Season Finals, is at risk of elimination with a 1-2 win/loss ratio unless it can turn things around on day three. Furthermore, 100 Thieves and Citadel Gaming have suffered major setbacks after receiving two losses each.
Virtus.pro Takes Control on Day Two

Virtus.pro continued its win streak on day two, securing victories against Ignite Stage 2 champions REJECT and ChopperMag in Group A.
REJECT was setting itself up as a potential dark horse of the tournament after a strong start on day one, kickstarting its run by defeating ENVY. However, it wasn’t as fortunate against the Ignite Stage 2 EMEA champions, ending the score 0-2 after losing on both Celestial Husk (1-2) and Midtown (0-3).
Virtus.pro has a lot to prove following the results of Ignite Stage 1. It has two matches left before it ends its Group Stage run, and if it can make the playoffs, then perhaps it can finally live up to its reputation as one of the best teams in the scene.
FlyQuest and NAVI Sweep the Competition

Group B saw some of the most shocking results in the series so far, as top contenders clashed to improve their standings. In the end, it was the best day for FlyQuest and NAVI, but the worst for 100 Thieves and Citadel Gaming.
FlyQuest kickstarted the day with a strong performance against Ignite Stage 2 China champion, OUG, winning 2-1. It was then followed up with a landslide 2-0 win against Citadel Gaming a few hours later, climbing to the top of its group standings.
NAVI also shared the spotlight as it began day two by facing the Ignite Stage 2 Americas champions, 100 Thieves. After it won 2-0, the day ended with a highly anticipated showdown against its EMEA rival, Citadel Gaming. In the end, NAVI proved to be the better team that day after winning 2-0.
What’s Next?
The Group Stage enters its final day, where the top eight teams will be decided for the Playoffs, and four rosters will be eliminated from the competition. The final day of matches begins on October 29th at 4:00 PM GMT, and will be livestreamed on the official Marvel Rivals YouTube and Twitch channels.
In Group A, all eyes will be on the final match of the day between Virtus.pro and ENVY, where the latter will fight to avoid elimination. Some of the biggest matches in Group B include NAVI vs FlyQuest and 100 Thieves vs FlyQuest, but only time will tell which squad will come out on top.
