Gen.G Esports VALORANT roster for VCT Pacific Stage 2

Gen.G Esports has announced that it is holding public tryouts for its VALORANT main roster ahead of the VCT 2026 season.

The announcement online shared details about qualifications, the selection process, how to apply, and more.

The qualifications outline that applicants must be 18 or over, be ranked Radiant in the APAC region, have a clean history free of bans or elo-boosting, and be open to both travelling and staying in a team house.

Preferred qualifications include being an experienced VALORANT player, possessing awards in other shooter titles, and having ‘communication skills’ in both English and Korean.

Gen.G also outlined the selection process, beginning with the application submission through Google Forms. After review, successful candidates will partake in both online and offline trials in addition to an interview. Only successfully chosen applicants will be contacted with a selection notice.

Gen.G Esports has opened the recruitment process amidst roster changes ahead of the VCT 2026 season. After announcing that it would part ways with some of its players back on October 21st, only Ha ‘Ash‘ Hyun-cheol, Kim ‘Karon‘ Won-tae, Kim ‘t3xture‘ Na-ra remain in the active roster.

Gen.G Esports in 2025

Gen.G Esports saw mixed results in the VCT 2025 season, ultimately failing to qualify for VALORANT Champions in Paris.

It began 2025 by placing third in the Pacific Kickoff, just missing out on Masters Bangkok after losing 2-3 to T1.

It saw better results in Pacific Stage 1, placing as the runner-up and qualifying for the Masters Toronto. At the event, it placed fifth overall and took home $50,000 (~£37,500) in winnings.

Back in July, it placed third in the Esports World Cup in Riyadh after losing 2-0 to NRG Esports, taking home $130,000 (~£97,510).

It last played in Pacific Stage 2 back in August, where it saw its worst result of the season. Despite successfully advancing through the Group Stage, it placed eighth after losing 1-2 to Rex Regum Qeon in the first round of the Lower Brackets.
