Activision has commemorated the Call of Duty: Warzone esports circuit with the addition of in-game banners acknowledging the winners of the battle royale title’s biggest tournaments.
Banners marking the World Series of Warzone Global 2025 and the Esports World Cup have appeared across Verdansk and Rebirth Island maps as part of the Season 1 update.
World Series Of Warzone Statue
The front of Verdansk Stadium features billboards and banners celebrating Team Vision’s victory at this year’s Global Finals. In addition to this, a statue sporting a design similar to the winner’s trophy has been added.
Alongside the names of the winning Team Vision roster, the statue features sets of three armour plates honouring the achievements of Team Biffle and Team Falcons, the World Series of Warzone champions in 2023 and 2024.
This isn’t the first time Verdansk map has played host to celebrating Call of Duty esports. In 2020, Dallas Empire banners and a Call of Duty League (CDL) trophy were added in-game following the franchise’s victory at the CDL Championship.
Esports World Cup Banners
Elsewhere, Rebirth Island map is sporting banners and billboards celebrating Twisted Minds‘ victory at the Esports World Cup. Located on the side of the Prison and on the Factory rooftop, players can see the trio wearing the jerseys of the Saudi Arabian organisation.
The Esports World Cup branding appear on Rebirth Island due to the Resurgence format used for the tournament.
What’s Next for Warzone Esports?
Following the launch of the Season 1 update, Activision has yet to share details on what the future of Warzone esports has in store. Despite the lack of information, several notable organisations continue to recruit rosters for 2026.
South Korean organisation T1 is the latest to expand into Warzone, signing a UK-based trio including World Series of Warzone 2025 champion ‘Echo‘.
