Korean esports organisation T1 has unveiled the second location of their PC café, T1 Base Camp (TBC), in Busan.

Launched as a multi-concept entertainment venue, it will officially open on December 12th in Haeundae’s Gunam-ro district, following the footsteps of the first location in Seoul.

A soft opening will be made for early fan access and special events starting on December 10th.

According to the press release, the PC Café was developed as a space to not only gather T1 supporters but also for the broader gaming community, introducing a new “Fortress” design concept, which consists of a circular layout with a dynamic flow as well as futuristic lighting and modern materials.

The Base Camp will feature high-spec PC zones, private gaming rooms, the organisation’s official merchandise store, as well as the ‘T1 PUB’, a cultural lounge with large screens, designed for fans to enjoy signature food and drink items while watching esports games.

Additionally, the PC Café will have expanded areas, supporting 6v6 competitive play, a dedicated section for sim racing, and T1 Cube, a zone for exhibitions, brand showcases, and other activities such as hands-on programs and interactive events.

It is also aimed to play a strategic role in growing the new generation of esports talents, acting as a hub for amateur tournaments, training sessions, and player development programs, including tryouts for the T1 third team.

The expansion comes one year after the organisation looked to raise a $35 million funding round, the first time since the T1 brand was introduced. According to T1’s CEO, Joe Marsh, T1 Base Camp became the number-one PC gaming café in South Korea following its launch, representing a major revenue-generating, cash-flow business for the company.

Josh Ahn, COO of T1, commented: “T1 BASE CAMP Busan is more than just an offline venue. It is a new type of esports hub where fans can gather, play, watch matches, and connect through T1’s content and culture. Through the Busan location, we look forward to expanding T1’s brand experience and contributing to the growth of esports communities across the country.”
