Ubisoft has revealed the global release date of Rainbow Six Mobile, scheduled to launch on February 23rd, 2026.

The mobile version of the tactical first-person shooter will be available worldwide on iOS and Android devices as a free-to-play title.

Ubisoft released a nearly one-minute trailer online outlining the highly anticipated global release date, which fans have been waiting for since the game was first revealed back in 2022.

Registration and Rewards

To celebrate the announcement, the developer has also launched its pre-registration campaign. Reaching certain community milestones will reward all players with in-game cosmetics, from gun charms for 12m pre-registrations to a main weapon skin for reaching 20m.

Players can register through the official Rainbow Six Mobile website to gain updates or potential early access to the game before its release. Alternatively, players who already have access can use the referral programme to invite friends to the game, earning Weapon Arsenal packs for spreading the word.

Rainbow Six Mobile is entering the final stage of development in its roadmap towards global launch, having held various closed alphas, betas, and multiple soft launches in the past three years.

Fans based in certain regions will not have to wait until next year to play, as the game is currently available in Poland, France, Canada and Latin America.

Does Rainbow Six Mobile Have Esports Potential?

Rainbow Six Siege has fostered an active esports ecosystem with a long competitive history, where team’s around the world have competed in annual circuits to reach the Six Invitationals. With Rainbow Six Mobile arriving next year, the question remains on whether it will see the same treatment.

Smaller tournaments have been held for the mobile game ahead of its global launch. According to Liquipedia, community events such as the Nexo Cup and Fusion Winter Cup have pitted players in a competitive setting.

Competitive mobile titles most definitely exist, and Ubisoft could take inspiration from Krafton regarding how it runs its PUBG esports ecosystem, running a main and mobile circuit simultaneously. However, the future of Rainbow Six Mobile esports will hinge on the popularity of the game when it launches next year.
