Thanks to an unpredictable StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, just 0.03% of Counter-Strike 2 players who took part in the title’s Pick ‘Em challenges earned a Diamond Coin.

As a result, the Budapest Major Diamond Coin has become the second-rarest Pick ‘Em reward from the past five Counter-Strike Majors.

According to data from Counter-Strike performance tracking platform Leetify, the low percentage beat the reward rates of 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.6% recorded from 2024’s Shanghai and Copenhagen Majors, and 2023’s Paris Major.

Coins are awarded to Pick ‘Em participants who complete a variety of challenges that appear during each stage of the Major. Similar to the Austin Major, the Playoffs featured a total of 11 objectives ranging from the accurate predictions of the Grand Final winner to scoring five correct Stage 1 picks before teams took to the server.

Leetify has previously used its data to show the rarities of Pick ‘Em coins distributed in recent years. The Austin Major holds the top spot as the rarest Diamond Coin, with only 0.01% of players earning the reward due to the event’s unpredictable nature.

Another Unpredictable Major

The StarLadder Budapest Major featured several unpredictable results across the three stages and the playoffs, making it difficult for fans to accurately predict which teams advanced and which were eliminated.

Early elimination from GamerLegion in Stage 1 while FlyQuest qualified for Stage 2 with a 3-0 record, blew several predictions out of the water. A surprise exit by Aurora Gaming in the second stage also impacted Pick ‘Ems.

Elsewhere, FaZe Clan‘s Cinderella run to the Grand Final captured the attention of the community, having struggled to find consistency throughout the year.

With Counter-Strike 2’s Pick ‘Em predictions becoming increasingly harder, it will be interesting to see if Valve decides to change the format for the IEM Cologne Major 2026, taking place from June 2nd to 21st.
