It’s been of morning of brutal knockouts.
At UFC Macau there have been a number of nasty finishes including Shi Ming sending Feng Xiaocan out on a stretcher and DongHun Choi faceplanting Kiru Singh Sahota in the first round. But the UFC didn’t have a monopoly on violence Saturday morning as over at RISE 183, the kickboxing promotion played host to its own devastating knockout when Kiyoto Takahashi faceplanted Sumiya Ito with a mean head kick knockout of his own.

Only 26 years old, Takahasi has had a tough run of things lately in his kickboxing career, winning just two times in his past seven fights prior to Saturday, with four bouts going to a draw. Things were a little different for Ito who was on a three-fight winning streak prior to Takahasi’s shin going upside his head, and the 28-year-old will now look to regroup.
