Merab Dvalishvili is ready to scrap, and he’s still a month away from his first UFC title defense.
At UFC 310 on Saturday, Dvalishvili appeared to get into an altercation with a fan in attendance at T-Mobile Arena. A clip surfaced of Dvalishvili having to be pulled away from a member of the audience, which happened shortly after his close friend and teammate Aljamain Sterling lost a decision to Movsar Evloev on the preliminary portion of the card.

From the footage on social media, it’s unclear how physically involved Dvalishvili became with the fan, if at all. Shortly afterwards though, an associate of his is clearly seen exchanging punches with the fan in question.
It is also not known how the altercation between Dvalishvili and the fan originated.
Dvalishvili had a similar experience ahead of his bout with Sean O’Malley at UFC 306 this past September, when a group of O’Malley supporters had a heated confrontation with the Dvalishvili and Sterling.
O’Malley was quick to chime in on the incident on social media, writing, “Merab only throws hand with fans in the stands.”

The real test for Dvalishvili comes on Jan. 18, when he defends his title against the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 311.
