This is the live blog for Jeremy Stephens vs. Mason Jones, the main card lightweight opener of UFC Des Moines at Wells Fargo Arena.

Stephens makes his surprising return to the octagon for the first time since a 65-second submission loss to Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Vegas 31 in July 2021. Since then, Stephens has competed for PFL, Gamebred Boxing, and has found a career resurgence in the bare-knuckle world, going 3-0 in BKFC, including a lopsided stoppage win against Eddie Alvarez at KnuckleMania 5 in January. “Lil’ Heathen” makes a rare one-night return in his home town of Des Moines, Iowa.

Jones also makes his return to the UFC for the first time since a July 2022 loss to Ludovit Klein. Since then, the 30-year-old returned to the regional scene with Cage Warriors, where he picked up four straight wins—with three finishes—to earn his way back to the UFC.
