Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena have shown each other respect for the most part, but it’s not all hugs and handshakes.

Ahead of their main event welterweight title clash at UFC 315 this Saturday in Montreal, Muhammad and Della Maddalena took the stage to hype up their fight and traded mild insults back and forth until it was time to face off.

That’s when things briefly became physical. Watch the faceoff below.

Della Maddalena extended his fists out toward the welterweight champion and Muhammad responded in kind, swatting Della Maddalena’s arm away, which appeared to agitate the Australian challenger.

UFC CEO Dana White was quick to step in to make sure the antics didn’t go further and the situation was quickly defused.

Outside of that exchange, the UFC 315 faceoffs took place without issue, though Quebec’s own Aiemann Zahabi had to be somewhat surprised that his opponent, José Aldo, appeared to get a warmer reception from the crowd than he did.
