Jose Aldo’s last fight is one that will be talked about for ages and not just for obvious reasons.

The former featherweight king lost a controversial decision to Aiemann Zahabi on the UFC 315 main card Saturday, with Zahabi earning a trio of 29-28 scores after a hard-fought three-round battle. Both fighters had their moments and threatened to finish in the third, with Aldo rocking Zahabi with a head kick early and Zahabi nearly grounding-and-pounding Aldo out late.

Aldo made it to the scorecards, but would not see his hand raised as he lost on points for the third time in his past four fights.

Social media raged against the decision, with Renato Moicano calling the score a “f*cking robbery,” but reactions quickly shifted to the 38-year-old Aldo removing his gloves following the result announcement.

Aldo then used his post-fight mic time to declare, “I think this is the last time you’re going to see me.”

Check out social media reactions to the highly disputed decision and the legendary Aldo’s retirement below.
