This is the UFC Atlanta live blog for Rose Namajunas vs. Miranda Maverick, the flyweight co-main event Saturday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Namajunas is currently No. 13 in the MMA Fighting Pound-for-Pound Rankings and No. 10 at 125 pounds in the Global Rankings. Maverick is No. 15 in the division.
Since moving up to flyweight, Namajunas (13-7) has gone 2-2, with wins over Tracy Cortez and Amanda Ribas, and losses to top contenders Erin Blanchfield and Manon Fiorot. “Thug Rose” was a two-time champion at strawweight, but is yet to find the same success up a division.
Maverick (15-5) has looked like a contender after a slow start to her UFC career. Since a loss to Jasmine Jasudavicius in June 2023, Maverick has rattled off four straight wins, most recently earning a unanimous decision nod over Jamey-Lyn Horth. She is tied for the third-longest win streak in the UFC flyweight division, trailing only Maycee Barber (6) and Natalia Silva (7).
