A pivotal women’s flyweight tilt is set for the UFC’s return to Canada.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between recent title challenger Manon Fiorot and surging contender Jasmine Jasudavicius is set for UFC Vancouver. The event takes place Oct. 18 at Rogers Arena. MMA Junkie was first to report.

Fiorot vs. Jasudavicius is a three round matchup, per multiple sources.

In her most recent bout, Fiorot came up short in her first championship bout, as she dropped a unanimous decision to Valentina Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC 315 in May. Prior to that, Fiorot won all seven of her UFC bouts, including wins against Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield.

Jasudavicius gets another home country bout and does so on an impressive five-fight win streak. The 36-year-old also recently competed at UFC 315, and delivered one of the more impressive performances of the event stopping former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade.
