Following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Call of Duty League (CDL), the latest wave of roster changes is underway as franchises look to refresh ahead of the new season.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 set to introduce new gameplay mechanics, franchises are looking to build a roster capable of competing at the top of the league table.

Esports Insider has everything fans need to know about all of the confirmed roster changes and free agencies taking place across Call of Duty esports.

Atlanta FaZe

The Major 1 and Major 2 champions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Atlanta FaZe is set to shake up its starting line-up for next season.

After five years with the franchise McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel has become a free agent, bringing a seven-year tenure with FaZe Clan to an end.

Alongside Cellium, Zack ‘Drazah’ Jordan has also confirmed his departure from the franchise. It’s unclear where the two players are heading next season.

It’s also unclear as to which players will be joining the franchise at this time.

Vancouver Surge

Despite regular appearances in tournament Grand Finals, Vancouver Surge is also overhauling its roster.

Jovan ’04’ Rodriguez, Byron ‘Nastie’ Plumridge, and Travis ‘Neptune’ McCloud have departed the franchise, leaving Jordan ‘Abuzah’ François as the sole remaining player on the starting line-up.

No indications surrounding replacements have appeared, and with several months before the 2026 season is expected to begin, any announcement could be a while away.

Miami Heretics

The all-Spanish roster of Miami Heretics had cemented its position towards the top of the CDL, with regular top-four finishes over the course of this year.

Adrian ‘MettalZ’ Serrano and José ‘ReeaL Manuel Fernández have left the franchise with CDL Rookie of the Year David ‘RenKoR’ Isern and Diego ‘SupeR’ Escudero looking for two players to complete the line-up.

Alejandro ‘Lucky’ López remains on the substitute bench, but it remains to be seen who completes the roster for 2026.

Cloud9 New York

After a disappointing season, Cloud9 New York is another franchise looking to rebuild its roster for Black Ops 7.

Isiah ‘Gwinn’ Gwinn has announced his free agency, while Daunte ‘Sib’ Gray, Kyle ‘Kremp’ Haworth, and Kris ‘Spart’ Cervantez are set to remain.

Minnesota Rokkr

The latest franchise to make changes to its roster is Minnesota Rokkr.

Giovanni ‘Gio’ Webster, Dylan ‘Nero’ Koch, and Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams have all announced their departures, leaving Justice ‘Estreal’ McMillan as the sole remaining player.

When Is The Next CDL Season?

The CDL has yet to reveal any details surrounding the next season of competition. With the Black Ops 7 release date expected to appear in November, the competitive season typically begins a few months after.

As the off-season continues, Esports Insider will update this article when any new roster changes are confirmed.
