MIBR has received an invite to the CS Asia Championship (CAC) 2025 event after Perfect World updated its slot allocation.

The South American organisation becomes the tenth and final invitation for the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) LAN taking place in Shanghai, China, from October 14th to 19th.

The inclusion of MIBR as an invited team comes as a result of Perfect World reverting to its original slot allocation. As a result, China has gone from having two qualification slots to none. One of the slots has gone directly to MIBR, with the other goes to the team that advances from the Asian qualifier.

Following the event’s announcement in April, the event organiser has adjusted the additional information surrounding the tournament.

According to Valve’s Tournament Operating Requirements, invites to Tier 2 events “must follow the announcement of additional information by no fewer than 30 days.”

The latest change to the tournament’s additional information has drawn criticism. Complexity General Manager Graham ‘messioso’ Pitt claims that Perfect World has failed to adhere to the rulebook. “With more slot changes, they should now be on the September VRS. Your complete inaction is concerning. The precedent being set is even more so.”
