While Black Ops 7 will be released on November 14th, its developers recently unveiled new information for those wanting to get their hands on the sequel earlier.

According to a press release from August 19th, fans of the franchise can already pre-order the Standard Edition or Cross-Gen Bundle or subscribe to a select Game Pass to gain Early Access to the Beta. Meanwhile, the Open Beta will be free to explore for all interested players.

Those purchasing the Vault Edition will also receive exclusive in-game items, including an Operator and a Mastercraft Weapon Collection.

The Standard and Vault Editions are available for the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4/5 and PC via the dedicated webpage.

On August 26th, Treyarch also shared a Community Update, outlining some of the changes heading into the Black Ops 7 release. These include doubling down on fighting cheaters as well as improving communication between developers and the game’s community.

Moreover, Double XP tokens and GobbleGums from Black Ops 6 will carry forward to Black Ops 7. However, operators, operator skins and weapons will not carry forward to ensure the sequel’s authenticity.

How Black Ops 7 Will Affect Call of Duty Esports

With newly released CoD titles adopted by the Call of Duty League (CDL) year-on-year, Black Ops 7 will introduce a new chapter for the franchise’s Tier 1 esports ecosystem.

So far, Treyarch has confirmed 16 multiplayer maps and 30 weapons for the Black Ops 7 multiplayer mode. In addition, the predecessor’s Omnimovement system will evolve to feature the ability to perform wall jumps.

The resulting additional traversal capabilities have the potential to create a skill gap among the world’s best players and elevate the CoD esports experience for everyone.

Fans can learn more about the multiplayer and other Black Ops 7 features during Call of Duty: NEXT on September 30th.
