Drinks brand Volvic Juicy has become the latest sponsor of the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship, taking place this weekend at the LDLC Arena in Lyon.
Announced by tournament organiser BLAST, the sponsorship will see Volvic Juicy branding integrated into the official broadcast and through live event experiences.
According to a release, this includes being featured during stream launches, countdown screens, player interviews and end-of-stream segments. Financial details of the deal have not been released.
Fans attending the event, which BLAST has stated is sold out, will also be able to purchase Volvic Juicy strawberry and cherry flavours inside the venue.
Speaking about the deal, James Brown, Commercial Director at BLAST, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Volvic Juicy as a partner for the Fortnite Global Championship in Lyon. The Global Championship represents the pinnacle of competitive Fortnite, attracting some of the best Fortnite players from across the globe and millions of fans watching online.”
Volvic’s Esports History
Interestingly, Volvic will also have a presence at the event through ‘bespoke social content’, notably with FNCS competitors and local organisation Gentle Mates. At the end of 2024, Gentle Mates secured a one-year deal with Volvic Juicy to collaborate on a range of activations.
Volvic has been a sponsor of various esports organisations throughout the years. The drinks brand has previously partnered with the likes of German esports organisation BIG, League of Legends’ EMEA Masters and even fellow French organisation Team Vitality.
For the Fortnite Global Championship, Volvic joins the likes of Blacklyte and ZOWIE as partners for its 2025 edition. Moreover, BLAST recently revealed that Thomas Lyte will craft the trophy and medals for the season-ending event.
Set to commence September 6th to 7th, 33 trios from across the world will drop into Lyon to compete for a share of its $2m (~£1.4m) prize pool. For fans who can’t attend the event, it will be broadcast live on Twitch and YouTube.
