PUBG Mobile has announced its latest in-game collaboration, this time with British automotive manufacturer Lotus.

Starting today and until November 4th, players will be able to utilise two of Lotus’ latest models, the Lotus Emira and the electric Lotus Emeya, in the game. Each will come with original designs and two unique colours, in addition to exclusive in-game collaboration skins and accessories.

Starting today

According to a release, the vehicles can be equipped with the Blackwasp and Stormrush Spoiler Attachment, the Spider Attachment, or seasonal Pumpkin Attachment, as well as using a Lotus-branded Parachute.

This marks the first time Lotus has entered a partnership within the gaming industry. Founded in England in 1948 by Colin Chapman, the company is currently owned by Chinese multinational Geely, which also owns other automotive brands such as Volvo, Polestar, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co.

PUBG Mobile Explores Automotive-focused Partnerships

For game publisher KRAFTON, partnering with a car brand is not something new. PUBG Mobile’s creators have previously worked with several other manufacturers, including Maserati, Bentley Motors, Shelby, McLaren Racing, Bugatti, and Tesla, among others.

The latest automotive partnership before Lotus’ was with luxury automaker Porsche, featuring five models from the brand’s product line, and also marking the brand’s first partnership in the gaming space. PUBG also previously worked with Italian motorbike maker Ducati to bring a new look to the game’s two-wheelers.

PUBG Partnerships Extend to Other Industries

Earlier this month, the Battle Royale game announced a major collaboration with global K-pop artist G-DRAGON, featuring special in-game content and offline fan events.

Aside from him, PUBG has also worked with BABYMONSTER and Blackpink and had virtual boy band PLAVE and K-pop girl group aespa perform at the latest PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) this past July.

Outside of the music world, KRAFTON has had previous collaborations with American Tourister, Spider-Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Liverpool FC.
