The LCK 2025 Season has become the third most-watched esports event of all time, peaking at over two million viewers during the playoffs.
This year’s competition was the first time Korea’s premier League of Legends tournament used a single season with five rounds, and the LCK Cup.
According to esports data platform Esports Charts, the LCK 2025 Season hit 2,031,979 viewers during the lower bracket match between T1 and Gen.G.
The figure makes the season the second-highest LCK peak in history, putting it behind LCK Spring 2024, which peaked at 2.6 million viewers.
LCK 2025 also recorded over 161 million hours watched, becoming the first LCK split to record more than 100 million hours watched. The 2024 League of Legends World Championship is the most-watched esports event in history, with over 190 million hours gathered across the event.
As a result of the longer tournament format, the LCK 2025 Season saw increases in the number of hours watched and average viewership. Compared to 2024, hours watched climbed from 204 million to 229 million, and average viewership increased from 208,757 to 252,156, an increase of 20.7%.
T1 featured in the top five most-watched matches of the season, with all of them peaking at over 1.3 million viewers.
What Next for The LCK?
Following the conclusion of the 2025 Season, the attention of the LCK community turns to the 2025 League of Legends World Championship, where four teams from the league have qualified.
T1 will begin its quest to win a third consecutive Worlds in the Play-In, where it takes on Invictus Gaming to earn the final place in the tournament’s Swiss stage.
Mid-Season Invitational 2025 and LCK 2025 champions Gen.G head into Worlds as one of the championship contenders, looking to add another trophy to round off an impressive season.
